The Retroverse
Meet the heroes, investigators, and antagonists of the Retroverse, from Exo Dexus and Fazo to Giza, Diyo, Zego, and Zorix.
Team Rimlaw leader
Exo Dexus leads Team Rimlaw, infiltrates an Apex moon base, searches for his mother and a missing friend, and confronts Zego in the war for the Apex Army.
In The List, Exo's personal search takes him into an Apex Army moon base. Finding that a friend is missing too, he begins following the differences in the army's symbols. Team Rimlaw receives a request for help from the Council of Orpex, and the outlaws eventually work with Apex against the Zego Order. In The Fall of a Dream, Exo faces Zego directly.
Exo's design has changed over time. An earlier version had short horns, while a later version has antennae. His original name was Dexus; the Exo-Exodus name carries a biblical reference. Original-universe and alternate-universe Exo Dexus designs both exist in Tyler's work.
Bitgam native
Fazo was born and raised on Bitgam, home to the red-skinned, exoskeleton-bearing people of Gambit Pointe.
Bitgam lies in Gamborus. Its Gambit Pointe people have red skin, yellow and white eyes, and exoskeletons. Gambit archives trace the planet's history back to the Great Manifested.
Fazo's drawings span different designs, including early sketches and later versions with white eyes. Fuzo is an alternate-universe counterpart, not another name for the original Fazo.
Lightnoid
Shaman is a Lightnoid who appears alongside Exo. Cosmos is Shaman's girlfriend.
The paired drawing brings Shaman and Exo together in one of Tyler's original character studies.
Retro Zetro adventurer
Zetro is repeatedly paired with Retro and joins Zatral and Zat in an adventure trio.
Tyler's drawings include original resketches and alternate designs of Zetro. His recurring partners are Retro, Zatral, and Zat.
Alternate Fazo
Fuzo is an alternate-universe version of Fazo with a separate character design.
Galgrey Galnoid
Giza performs a DNA test after Pexus is bitten by his wife's pet. In The Fall of a Dream, she works with Oix inside the Apex Army to expose the false Pexus.
Giza is a female Galnoid from the Galgrey people of Galgri. Gelth, a male Galnoid, is her boyfriend. Her investigation follows biological evidence into the deception within the army.
The Pexus investigation
Oix works with Giza in the Apex Army to plan the exposure of the fake Pexus. Their investigation is one of the central threads of The Fall of a Dream.
Telepathic messenger
Diyo warns the outlaw teams through telepathy that Apex Army members are mysteriously self-deleting in The Fall of a Dream. In The List, he discovers that members of a group are dying.
A false identity inside Apex
Pexus's wife's pet bites him, after which Giza performs a DNA test. Giza and Oix plan to expose a fake Pexus within the Apex Army in The Fall of a Dream.
Exo's opponent
Exo faces Zego in the climax of The Fall of a Dream. The Zego Order is the force that has overtaken the Apex Army.
Antagonist
Cool and ruthless, Zorix is straight to the point. He does not play around with the people he confronts.
The Wider Retroverse
Meet Team Rimlaw, the Apex Army, and the Zego Order, then explore Bitgam, Orpex, Galgri, and the Zlugnoid Hive Wars.
Military power
The Apex Army operates moon bases and has influence across planets. The Zego Order overtakes or infiltrates it, while loyal Apex members rebel and later work with the Star Hunters.
Outlaw faction
Team Rimlaw is Exo's outlaw group. Star Hunters are organized outlaw teams that pursue Apex members responsible for crimes on other planets.
Enemy faction
The Zego Order stands behind the Apex takeover. Its methods include infiltration, impersonation, altered symbols, and robot forces.
Planet
Bitgam is Fazo's homeworld in Gamborus. Its Gambit Pointe residents have red skin, yellow and white eyes, and exoskeletons. Its history reaches back to the unexplained Great Manifested.
World and people
Galgri is home to the Galgrey Galnoids and a Council of Twelve overseers. Giza, Gelth, Geth, Gel, Grorix, Velrix, and Vozith are connected to Galnoid history.
Council
The Council of Orpex calls on Team Rimlaw for help during the Apex crisis. Orpex is the homeworld of the Orpenoids.
Conflict
The Zlugnoid Hive Wars pit Zucnoids against Zlugnoids. A Zlug doctor creates hybrid Wormoids as the conflict spreads through commanders, armor squads, and mecha forces.
Technology
A Linkpod places an Orpenoid consciousness inside a CBot shell. One CBot model travels on the ground while another transforms into a small oval spacecraft.
Worlds and heroes
Mozo and Zoha come from FZ. The Piadom race began as part of Oddverse, opening another world of heroes and peoples.
